Summer's not even officially here yet but we're already starting to feel the heat in LA. Here's a piece I did about the summer heat for my "LA-LA Land" column in this week's LA Weekly. You can grab it when it comes out on Thursday.

Oh wow! My favorite La-La Land thus far!
Oh I love this and man oh MAN, is it not ever true. I work out in Glendale and I swear it's even worse over here, like the skillet of the universe.
Awsome work like always.
This work is so right for so many reasons, most of them my own personal reasons. The paper hat, sunburn, summer, ice-cream melting in hand, food as art, turning lemons into lemonade/fuck it attitude of the guy, the traffic cones as personal boundaries, and the ashphalt. This is perfect and so very relatable, I gotta have a print of this!!!
Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!
Coop: Yay, happy to hear it!
lostsailors: I used to live in Glendale, so I feel your pain.
Manuel: Thanks! Just checked out your blog. Really awesome work!
Ryan: Glad you like it!
I Love how the ice cream flavors make different patterns! This is awesome!
Thanks Thomas!
Beautiful. Love the top-ish angle and the composition and the colors. I feel the same feeling, in another part of the world.
Thanks! Hope you're keeping cool!
